  I find it interesting that so many people assume that just because a person is more spiritual or healing that she must have an aversion to material goods, such as Balenciaga or Prada handbags, Manolo Blahnik shoes, and fine dining.   Reiki Attunements and Detoxing

  Toxins and detoxing are all over the news. Every day we hear about the dangers of various chemicals, drugs, and food additives and are sold new and improved products to help flush and clean out our systems (of course, sometimes the cures are as dangerous as the toxins). While rapid detox can sometimes work in cases of drug and alcohol addictions, the best detoxes I ever experienced were in the 21 days after my Usui Reiki attunements.

  Dressing for Reiki

  Many people are not sure what to wear for a Reiki session. Unlike an oil massage or ayurvedic treatment, you keep your clothing on for Reiki and there is very little moving on the part of the recipient. So while you may not need to dress to impress (blac label clothing is not necessary here), you do want to be comfortable.

  For a simple energy balancing and healing practice there is an awful lot of Reiki "gear" out there. You might even need a barcode scanner to have Reiki retail items in your store or office. Seriously, between the Reiki books, Reiki music, Reiki timers, and the Reiki-infused jewelry, clothing, and craft items on the market you might never know that Reiki itself is s simple, free, and easy to use practice.

  With all the reiki videos on YouTube you would think that Reiki Television would be coming along. With HDTV technology we could really use great visuals for self-hypnosis and treatment. I would love to see a show that traces Usui's history in Japan with stops at all the major Reiki history monuments, including contemporary Reiki clinics. Anyone else think this is a good idea?

There are now hundreds of "kinds" of reiki, including Kundalini Reiki, Tachyon Reiki, and Colors of Angels Reiki, each of which came later and are from different origins and schools of thought.   The other day I was perusing some digital camcorder reviews and realizing how far we have come in terms of digital video technology. I can remember when every camcorder required tapes or discs for memory and digital camcorders were very expensive and only for professionals. Now that digital camcorders are inexpensive and easily available, there are many interesting Reiki movies showing up on YouTube and other video sites.
