The Reiki symbols are considered as the keys that open doors to a higher self. These are used for both healing and attunement. When a reiki master/practitioner draws, thinks about or visualizes a symbol it will instantly connect to the energy it represents.
There are five reiki symbols as taught in modern reiki system:
1. The first reiki symbol is Cho Ku Rei (Choku Rei is pronounced as "Cho-Koo-Ray") or power symbol. This symbol represents the body. This symbol is used to draw energy from universe, converge it and then amplify the energy.
