Sister Madeline Gianforte is a Reiki master in Milwaukee, and a Roman Catholic nun with the Sisters of Saint Agnes. Kim Lawton, a correspondent for the PBS show “Religion and Ethics,” interviewed Gianforte and another Reiki master who was trained by Catholic nuns. Lawton also interviewed Rev. Tom Weinandy of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, which advised in the spring of 2009 that Reiki practice is not appropriate to Catholics.
